Sharon Leighty & Co. brings 25 years of non-profit management and business experience to small to mid-size organizations seeking to manage their limited resources more effectively and creatively.

Services include planning and implementing development and capital campaigns, developing major gifts and annual programs, grant writing, building organizational capacity, and managing special projects.

An active community volunteer, Sharon also donates 15 hours of her professional services each month to organizations throughout Oregon.

  • Providing campaign support to raise $3.7 million to build a new main library in Lakeview
  • Coordinating the Oregon Century Farm & Ranch Program including program management, board support, and expansion of the program
  • Working with Friends of Sumpter Valley Dredge to raise $475,000 to implement their interpretive plan and to restore the exterior envelope of the dredge
  • Assisting the Canby Public Library develop the campaign plans to build a new library and the formation of their foundation
  • Helping the Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Oregon expand their funding resources, proposal development, and mentoring of new development director
  • Provided interim development services for the Oregon Mountain River Red Cross Chapter and implemented their annual Heroes Breakfast
  • Raised $4.5 million to restore the Vista House at Crown Point
  • Developed briefing paper to preserve Mulberry Grove
  • Planned & implemented $1.25 million campaign to preserve Kam Wah Chung Museum
  • Raised $325,000 to implement a new interpretive plan at Collier State Park
  • Raised preservation funds for Oregon historic properties including Sumpter Valley Dredge, Pete’s Round Barn, Willamette Mission Ghost Structure and Oregon Lighthouses
  • Worked on statewide initiative to complete the Willamette River Water Trail
  • Provided development services to the Oregon 150 board to raise the resources need to implement Oregon 150th birthday celebration
  • Helped South Salem High School’s Wind Ensemble raise funds to participate in the opening ceremonies of the 2008 Summer Olympics in China
  • Provided interim executive director services to the Education Foundation for Bend La Pine Schools
  • Assisted Salem’s Riverfront Carousel expand its organizational capacity
